England and Australia will contest the T20 World Cup final at a sold-out Lord's on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

Tournament organizers resolved scheduling conflicts regarding pre-match warm-ups on the main outfield.

Initial plans restricted outfield access due to a scheduled musical performance by pop singer Rita Ora one hour before play begins.

Officials adjusted the schedule to grant bowlers early access to the main ground before the concert.

England Captain Addresses Preparations

England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt noted that preparations required managing multiple logistics leading up to the final match.

"There's a few moving parts with the pre-game stuff tomorrow," Sciver-Brunt said.

She noted that the initial restriction to the Nursery Ground caused visible disappointment among players who prioritize specific pre-match bowling routines.

"Some of the girls' faces when we were warming up on the Nursery Ground - people like to bowl before the game on one of the bowl-through wickets," she said.

The skipper added that such operational shifts are standard when participating in major championship events.

"We had a few chins down.

But I guess that's what you get when you're playing in a final and there's lots of other moving parts," Sciver-Brunt said.

Reflecting on the growth of the sport since England last secured a global trophy at Lord's nine years ago, Sciver-Brunt highlighted a massive evolution.

"Where the game was in 2017 compared to where it is now, is a huge leap," she said.
