A Super League match between Wigan Warriors and St Helens was temporarily halted on Sunday, July 5, 2026, after Wigan winger Nathan Lowe collapsed on the touchline following a severe leg injury.
The incident occurred just before halftime at the Hill Dickinson Stadium during the Magic Weekend fixture, which was Lowe's second appearance for the Cherry and Whites.

Lowe sustained the leg injury after being bundled into touch by several St Helens players, according to reports from All Out Rugby League and WalesOnline.
Medical personnel initially helped Lowe to his feet to escort him down the tunnel, but the winger appeared to faint while walking along the touchline.
Paramedics rushed to assist and stood him back upright, but Lowe lost consciousness a second time and had to be laid back down near the pitch.
Referee Chris Kendall stopped play for several minutes while medical teams stabilized Lowe, who was eventually carried down the tunnel on a stretcher.
Low Blood Pressure Cause
Broadcaster Sky Sports later confirmed that a sudden drop in blood pressure caused Lowe to pass out as he was being assisted from the field.

National World reporter Drew Darbyshire shared insights on social media regarding the young winger's condition during the game.
"Looks pretty grim for Wigan youngster Nathan Lowe," wrote Darbyshire, noting that the player required significant assistance after an awkward landing on the pitch.
"He is assisted from the field by a couple of members of staff after landing awkwardly.
Sad blow for the young winger, who came in to replace Noah Hodkinson for this game," Darbyshire added.
Prior to Lowe's injury, Wigan players Daryl Clark and Ethan Havard had already left the match for head injury assessments, with Clark also requiring a stretcher.

At the time of the disruptions, the two teams were locked in a competitive match at the Brick Community Stadium, where St Helens held an early lead from a Jackson Hastings penalty goal before Adam Keighran scored a try for Wigan following a pass from Jack Farrimond.
