Reports from May indicated that Arsenal were serious contenders to sign the midfielder when Aston Villa valued him above £80 million, but subsequent market movements inflated that figure by £50 million within a month.

Rogers Responds to Valuation
When questioned about his reported market value, Rogers expressed humility regarding the substantial figures circulating in the media.
"I'm not sure I'm worth all of that!" said Rogers.

"Of course it's nice to hear that from people. But I don't let outside noise dictate me.
I'm just going to keep focused, keep being me, keep being the person that got me here and keep trying to improve.
