Toyota has filed a trademark application for the name 'Camry Apex' with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The filing was made on June 30 and was first reported by CarBuzz.

The Apex badge was previously used on the Corolla Apex Edition, launched in mid-2020.
That model was limited to 6,000 units and featured a track-tuned suspension, upgraded stabilizer bars, and a more aggressive exterior design.
Notably, the Corolla Apex did not receive any power increases. Instead, the focus was on improving handling and aerodynamics.
A small number of those cars also came with a six-speed manual transmission with automatic rev-matching.

What a Camry Apex Could Offer
If Toyota applies a similar formula to the Camry, a potential Camry Apex would likely emphasize cornering performance rather than engine upgrades.
A tweaked suspension and revised body parts to enhance aerodynamics are plausible changes.
Engine modifications are considered less likely, as Toyota may reserve more significant powertrain upgrades for a possible high-performance GR Camry in the future.
It is important to note that trademark filings do not guarantee a production model.
