Toronto accumulated 11 hits and scored eight runs within the first three innings against Giants starter Trevor McDonald, who surrendered eight runs in 2 1/3 innings.

Ernie Clement recorded three hits, while Sean Keys contributed two RBIs during a five-run third inning to seal the victory.

Prior to the game, Blue Jays manager John Schneider held individual discussions with players regarding the team's performance, stressing the need for fundamental improvements during difficult stretches of the season.

"The way I look at it is the most important thing right now is July 7th, not July 8th or July 6th – you have to approach it that way," said John Schneider, Manager.

Schneider emphasized that minor details required adjustments to ensure cleaner execution on the field moving forward.

"There are definitely things you talk about with some guys and say, we get it when you're struggling, but there are some things that need to be a little cleaner," said John Schneider, Manager.

The manager expressed that the roster needed to move past previous struggles effectively.

"Really trying to kick it into gear a little bit," said John Schneider, Manager.
