A couple from Penticton, British Columbia, has officially claimed a $75 million Lotto Max jackpot. Maureen and Darrell S.
stepped forward at the end of June to collect the prize, which was originally drawn on April 7.

The winning ticket matched all seven numbers.
According to the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), the winners had 52 weeks from the draw date to claim the prize.
The couple realized they held the winning ticket after checking the numbers at home. They had heard that the ticket was purchased in their hometown of Penticton.

The ticket was bought at the Smart Shopper store on Main Street and Westminster Avenue West in Penticton.
Maureen and Darrell describe themselves as outdoor enthusiasts.
They plan to use a small portion of the winnings for travel, such as a cruise or renting a camper, to celebrate with friends and family.

The majority of the $75 million prize will be donated to various charitable organizations that are important to the couple.
