"We've always gone after him, but after a while we stopped," said Gary Quinn, Vice President of NBC Sports Ventures.
Quinn noted that while the window to secure certain veteran actors might have evolved, their presence always resonates with the gallery at Edgewood Tahoe.
"He plays Pebble Beach. He's a guy we'd love to get here.
He's so good with the fans," Quinn added.
Actors like Mark Wahlberg, who has a single-digit handicap, are also frequently suggested as ideal future additions due to their unique playing styles.
Wahlberg reportedly uses a rapid approach to complete his rounds efficiently under normal conditions, which he calls "cardio golf."
