Former American tennis player CoCo Vandeweghe was hospitalized after a serious fall while walking to Wimbledon last Tuesday.
The 34-year-old retired athlete was heading to the tournament to work as an on-air analyst for ESPN.

Vandeweghe shared details of the accident on social media, stating she suffered trauma to her mouth and jaw.
She bit through her lip, fractured her chin, and chipped two front teeth.
Emergency medical care included stitches and dental procedures to repair the damaged teeth. Vandeweghe expressed gratitude for the swift support from medical staff and her family.
Her fiancé Daniel and her mother flew to London to be with her. Friends and ESPN colleagues also provided assistance during the ordeal.

After treatment, Vandeweghe returned to work at Wimbledon. She posted updates showing her recovery progress, including removal of stitches and new teeth.

Vandeweghe retired from professional tennis in 2023 due to persistent injuries.
