It remains unclear whether the White House or Donald Trump’s specialized World Cup taskforce has directly participated in these early negotiations.

Fifa's Financial Success
Fifa has broken its previous financial records by selling 6.5 million tickets for the current World Cup, putting the organization on track to exceed its projected $11 billion revenue target.
The financial success is further bolstered by Fifa's strategic ticketing experiments, including a controversial dynamic pricing model tested at last year's Club World Cup that generated $411 million from ticket sales and hospitality.
Fifa plans to expand the Club World Cup to a 48-team format by 2029 with the backing of elite European clubs.
