Mayo last wore white in the 1951 Sam Maguire Cup final victory over Meath, making Sunday their first final appearance in that uniform since then.
Kerry's white jersey was retired after a 15-point loss to Meath in the 2001 semi-finals, according to GAA historical records.
The Kingdom's traditional green-and-gold dates back to 1903 following a three-match saga against Kildare.
Mayo's traditional green-and-red colors trace back to local matches in late 1886 and 1887.
GAA Patron Dr. Thomas Croke famously referenced placing the national green above the English red in an 1884 letter accepting his role with the organization.

Community preparation and local role models continue to define football culture in Mayo.
Former player and administrator Pat Dowling spent over four decades developing grassroots talent in North Mayo after moving from Kerry in the 1970s.
Young talents including Kobe McDonald, son of 2004 All Star Ciarán McDonald, recently debuted for Mayo in the championship following years of club development through Crossmolina Deel Rovers and local secondary schools.
Off the pitch, Kerry captain Paul Geaney leads his side alongside support from his wife, Siún Ó Sé, daughter of eight-time All-Ireland winner Páidí Ó Sé.
