Welsh gymnasts Ruby Evans and Emily Roper missed out on medals in the women's individual all-around competition at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Evans, 19, entered the final as a strong contender after qualifying in second place.

She held second position midway through the contest but slipped on the balance beam during the third rotation, ending her podium hopes.
Despite a strong floor routine, she finished sixth overall.
Roper placed seventh with a total score of 50.350 across vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor.
She entered the final rotation just 0.5 points behind medal positions but fell while landing a somersault in her floor routine.

Canada's Elsabeth Black won the gold medal.
Roper will compete again in the vault final alongside her twin sister Abigail on Monday afternoon and also plans to participate in the uneven bars event.
Evans is scheduled to take part in the uneven beam and floor finals on Tuesday.

The best all-around finish by a Welsh female gymnast remains fifth, set by Elizabeth Beddoe in Glasgow in 2014.
