UK youth organization Girlguiding has introduced its first comprehensive uniform overhaul in more than 30 years, relaxing dress requirements to allow members to wear just a single branded top to be considered in full attire.
The updated collection, created by HemingwayDesign, was launched on July 27, 2026, and features 30 garments, 15 accessories, and customizable neckerchiefs.

Practical elements include waistband hidden pockets, thumb holes, and convertible badge sashes.
Girlguiding Chief Executive Felicity Oswald said the new line was developed through extensive collaboration to offer members greater self-expression while maintaining a connection to the organization.
“The new range is all about providing girls with the freedom to express themselves, whilst feeling part of our amazing organisation,” Oswald said.
The design updates follow a June survey of 2,000 UK girls aged 6 to 16, which found that 93 percent feel most comfortable when they can choose how to style themselves.
“We know that self-expression and confidence go hand in hand,” Oswald added.
Leadership emphasized that the refreshed collection aims to support young members as the organization expands its outreach.
“By 2030, we hope to reach more girls where they are, building their confidence when they need it the most, so more girls will know they can do anything,” Oswald said.

Prominent supporters noted the collection balances modern aesthetics with practical, flexible functionality.
