The Edmonton Oilers are actively pursuing a trade for Columbus Blue Jackets winger Kirill Marchenko, according to reports from 2026.
The 26-year-old is expected to be moved soon.

Marchenko has been a consistent scorer, netting over 20 goals in each of his four NHL seasons.
His career-best campaign came in 2024-25, when he recorded 31 goals and 43 assists for 74 points in 79 games.
The Oilers have approximately $4.725 million in salary cap space entering next season. That comfortably covers Marchenko's $3.85 million annual average value for the upcoming year.
After the season, Marchenko will be a restricted free agent. That gives Edmonton control over negotiations, including the possibility of salary arbitration.
Assets to Facilitate a Deal
General manager Stan Bowman has several trade chips.
The Oilers hold first-round picks in two of the next three NHL drafts, plus selections in rounds 3-7 for the 2028 and 2029 drafts.

Matt Savoie, 22, recorded 18 goals and 19 assists for 37 points in 82 games during his rookie NHL season.
Isaac Howard, the 2025 Hobey Baker Award winner, struggled in his rookie pro NHL season but excelled in the AHL.
He posted 24 goals and 26 assists for 50 points in 47 games, boosting his trade value.
These assets give the Oilers a strong foundation to pursue a high-impact trade for Marchenko.
