Alexander Blockx has reclaimed the title of Belgium's top-ranked male tennis player, climbing six spots to world number 32 in the latest ATP rankings released on July 27, 2026.
The rise follows his finals appearance at the ATP 250 tournament in Estoril, Portugal, where he was defeated by Frenchman Luca Van Assche.

Blockx now leads compatriots Zizou Bergs, who dropped two places to number 36, and Raphael Collignon, who fell one spot to number 38.
Belgium now boasts three players inside the global top 40.
Van Assche, who denied Blockx his first ATP title, jumped 30 positions to number 48.
Another French player, Quentin Halys, gained 31 spots to reach world number 52 after winning the tournament in Kitzbuehel.
At the top of the ATP rankings, Jannik Sinner remains world number one, followed by Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, and Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Novak Djokovic moved up two places to re-enter the top five.
Women's Tennis and Doubles Updates
In the WTA singles rankings, Elise Mertens rose one spot to world number 23.

Hanne Vandewinkel climbed one position to number 91, while Sofia Costoulas dropped three places to number 158.
Greet Minnen fell six spots to number 182, and Jeline Vandromme stayed at number 128 as Belgium's third-highest ranked female player.
Mertens also advanced to seventh in the WTA doubles rankings.
Magali Kempen entered the doubles top 50 at number 50 after moving up two places following her finals performance at the WTA 250 event in Hamburg.
Lara Salden dropped one spot to number 157.
In men's doubles, Sander Gille remains the highest-ranked Belgian at number 64 after gaining one position.
