A Ferrari SF90 Spider crashed into a tree in Australia, splitting into two separate halves. Remarkably, the driver walked away without a scratch.
The crash occurred around 9:15 a. m.

Saturday on Rio Vista Boulevard in Mermaid Waters, Gold Coast. The driver was Sam Gordon, a property investor and influencer.
The Ferrari SF90 Spider is valued between AU$1 million and AU$1.5 million. After sliding into a tree, the rear end detached from the monocoque.
Images and video show the front half of the car on a patch of grass, while the rear half—including the twin-turbo V8, transmission, and hybrid components—landed about a dozen feet away.
Much of the front end appears undamaged.

Mid-engined supercars like the SF90 have the engine and transmission bolted to the carbon fiber and aluminum monocoque.
This design helps absorb side impacts and protect occupants.
No official cause has been released, but the SF90 produces 986 hp. No other vehicles or pedestrians were involved, though the crash occurred near a walking path.

Gordon posted on social media after the wreck, thanking Ferrari for building a car that kept him alive through an impact violent enough to tear it in two.
