A Lamborghini Reventon Roadster, one of only 15 ever built, has surfaced for auction in the United States.
The ultra-rare supercar is expected to draw bids of more than $3 million.
The car is listed through Joopiter and currently resides in Miami, Florida. It was originally delivered new to a customer in Singapore.
For most of its life, the Roadster has been kept in storage.
Over the past 16 years, it has accumulated just 29 miles (47 km), making it likely one of the lowest-mileage Reventon models in existence.
Jet-Fighter Design and Murcielago Roots
Lamborghini unveiled the Reventon Roadster in 2009, two years after the hardtop version stunned the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Production was capped at 15 units worldwide, with prices starting at around $2.1 million.
The Reventon's design drew inspiration from legendary fighter jets such as the F-22. It arrived with sharper angles and more aggressive lines than any Lamborghini before it.
Even the Aventador, which debuted in 2011 with a similarly bold profile, could not quite match the presence of the Reventon.
Underneath, the car is based on the Murcielago.
It uses Lamborghini's naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12, producing 661 hp and paired with a six-speed e-gear transmission.
The listing notes that the car still has its original drive belt and tires from 2009.
A computer scan also revealed that the engine has sat below 1,400 rpm for 95% of the time.
In preparation for the sale, the car received a new battery and a completely flushed fuel system.
There is no guarantee, however, that it will not need further work if the next owner intends to drive it.
Most Reventon Roadsters disappeared from public view once delivered to customers, and one rarely reaches the market.
This example is described as about as close as you can get to a brand-new Reventon Roadster.
