A male driver was taken to the hospital after a single-vehicle crash on the A19 northbound flyover near North Tees Industrial Estate early Monday morning.
The incident occurred around 4:00 a. m.

Cleveland Police confirmed that lane 1 remained closed to allow structural inspections and repairs to the damaged barriers.
“Lane 1 of the A19 northbound over the flyover remains closed following a single vehicle RTC at around 4am this morning,” authorities said.
The driver suffered a wrist injury and was transported by ambulance to the University Hospital of North Tees.
“The male driver, who suffered an injury to his wrist, was taken by ambulance to the University Hospital of North Tees and Autolink attended the scene to assess damage to barriers,” Cleveland Police stated.
A highway maintenance agency quickly arrived to evaluate the safety infrastructure.

Officials kept the lane restriction in place throughout the morning to ensure worker safety during barrier repairs.
“The vehicle was recovered from the scene and Lane 1 of the carriageway remains closed to allow the damage to the barrier to be assessed and repairs to take place,” police added.
Commuters were advised that travel times through the area would be extended due to the ongoing lane closure.
“Traffic flow may be slower than usual and we'd like to thank any motorists affected for their patience,” Cleveland Police said.
The North East Ambulance Service dispatched a double-crewed ambulance shortly after receiving reports of the collision.
“We were called to a road traffic incident on the A19 near North Tees Industrial Estate shortly after 4am on 27 July,” a spokesperson said.
