Toronto is set to host its 59th annual Caribbean Carnival from Wednesday, July 29, through Monday, August 3, 2026.
The festival is expected to draw over one million visitors and contribute more than half a billion dollars to the local economy.

First held in 1967 as a centennial celebration, the carnival now includes concerts, steelpan competitions, and nightlife events.
The highlight is the Grand Parade along Lake Shore Boulevard and Exhibition Place on Saturday, August 1.
Festival Lineup and Key Events
The official lineup begins Thursday, July 30, with the King & Queen Showcase at Lamport Stadium from 5 p.
m. to midnight.
Mas bands will present massive, intricate costumes accompanied by live Caribbean music.
Organizers describe the showcase as "Carnival's crown jewel," where each mas band unveils larger-than-life costumes in a display of artistry and performance.
They note the competition is also a broader cultural statement for participants and spectators across North America.
On Friday, July 31, Lamport Stadium hosts the Ontario Steelpan Association's Toronto Panorama steelband competition from 7 p.

Top Canadian orchestras will perform, offering what organizers call "the heartbeat of the steelpan."
The main event, the Grand Parade, runs Saturday, August 1, from 10 a. m.

along Lake Shore Boulevard West, Marilyn Bell Park, and Exhibition Place. Thousands of masqueraders will dance to soca and calypso, with spectacular costumes dazzling spectators.
Celebrations continue Sunday, August 2, with the free, family-friendly Pan in D Park at Neilson Park in Scarborough from 2 p.
