Maple Leaf Foods is recalling more than 12,000 pounds of smoked bacon imported from Canada. The U.
S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) found an import reinspection violation.

FSIS said the products entered the United States without the required import reinspection. The recall was announced in a notice dated July 24.
The recall affects not ready-to-eat smoked bacon products. They were distributed to retailers in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.
No illnesses have been reported related to the product, according to FSIS.
Recalled Products
Two product lines are included in the recall: Royale Natural Applewood Smoked ALL NATURAL Uncured Bacon and TOP VALU Uncured Hardwood Smoked Bacon.
Both are labeled as Product of Canada.
The products are 12-ounce vacuum packages with specific sell-by dates. They bear the marking “EST.
1” on the package.

Royale Natural Applewood Smoked ALL NATURAL Uncured Bacon has sell-by dates of Sept. 1, 2026 and Sept.
7, 2026. TOP VALU Uncured Hardwood Smoked Bacon has sell-by dates of Sept.
1, 2, 4, 5, and 7, 2026.
The recalled bacon was produced on June 9, 10, 12, 13, and 15, 2026.
FSIS stated that the items were sent to Grocery Outlet distributors and retailers in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.
A full distribution list will be posted on the FSIS website once available.

Consumers are urged not to eat the recalled bacon. They should throw it away or return it to the place of purchase.
