The victory marks Rodriguez's first singles title on the WWE main roster. She previously held the NXT Women's Championship in 2021 and five Women's Tag Team Championships.

Rodriguez secured the pinfall after delivering a Tejana Bomb.
She capitalized on interference from her Judgment Day stablemate Roxanne Perez, who knocked Ruca off the top rope onto the ring post.
The match featured chaotic ringside interference. World Champion Liv Morgan and Perez initially arrived to assist Rodriguez, drawing out SummerSlam challenger Iyo Sky.

Sky neutralized Morgan by shoving her into the ring post before Perez disrupted Ruca.
Rodriguez sustained an early facial injury that left her nose heavily bleeding but continued to fight.
The defeat ended Ruca's 57-day reign as champion, which began when she defeated Becky Lynch on May 31.
