Will Ferrell is actively working to bring together some of comedy's biggest names for new film projects.
During a recent appearance on the podcast Happy Sad Confused, the actor revealed he has been in contact with Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller about potential collaborations.

Ferrell told host Josh Horowitz that he and Sandler have exchanged texts about making a movie together, but conflicting schedules have so far prevented it.
“Sandler, bless his heart, has been like, ‘Come on, buddy.
We got to figure something out before we can’t move anymore’… That’s on my bucket list,” Ferrell said.
The Saturday Night Live alum noted that despite their parallel careers since their sketch comedy days, coordinating production timelines remains a challenge.
“It’s hard in that, if you’re thinking of other ideas, as time keeps moving on and everyone has their own little universes… We’re all just kind of like ships passing in the night,” he added.
Ferrell also mentioned that Ben Stiller, his co-star from the Zoolander franchise, reached out within the last two years seeking a comedy reunion.

“Ben reached out within the last couple years, as he’s wanting to get a little bit more back into acting and doing comedy,” Ferrell said.
Beyond those discussions, Ferrell confirmed he is developing an action-comedy titled Tough Guys at Amazon MGM Studios alongside Ryan Gosling, his co-star from Barbie.
“Ryan and I have a project together, and we’re banging it into shape. It’s an action comedy… It could be really fun,” Ferrell said.
Ferrell praised Gosling’s comedic performance in Barbie, calling it award-worthy.
“He’s such an underrated—maybe not anymore—but, as a comedic personality, he’s a beast… That performance in ‘Barbie’—talk about commitment and just epic,” Ferrell said.
He added, “That should win the Oscar. What other actor can do this?”

Tough Guys is currently in active development as the team searches for a director.
