Crocker Park announced on Tuesday that IKEA will open a new small-format store in Westlake, Ohio, in spring 2027.
The Swedish home furnishing retailer will occupy the space previously held by Dick's Sporting Goods.

This will be IKEA's first location in Northeast Ohio. Currently, the nearest IKEA stores are in Columbus, about 115 miles away, and Pittsburgh, 107 miles away.
The new store will feature IKEA's traditional Swedish meatballs alongside its product lineup. Stark Enterprises, the developer and owner of Crocker Park, spent years planning the addition.
Strategic Milestone for Crocker Park
“Bringing IKEA to Crocker Park has been years in the making,” said Ezra Stark, CEO of Stark Enterprises.
“This announcement reflects years of strategic planning, strong partnerships, and our commitment to continually elevating Crocker Park with brands people truly want to experience.”
Stark added that IKEA is a destination that will draw visitors from across the Midwest, strengthen the regional economy, and further establish Crocker Park as a premier mixed-use destination.

The leasing team prioritized the home furnishings brand to fill the prominent retail space.
“We had a very short list of 'best-in-class' retailers we believed could truly transform this key anchor location, and IKEA was our number one choice,” said Lidia Saluan Richani, Executive Vice President of Leasing for Stark Enterprises.
Marketing efforts included cryptic social media teasers from Crocker Park with phrases such as “some assembly may be required.”
Stacie Schmidt, Vice President of Marketing & Communications, called the announcement one of the most significant retail milestones in Crocker Park's history.
IKEA reported $5.3 billion in total sales for the fiscal year ending August 2025 and operates stores in over 30 countries.

The announcement follows other recent tenant additions at Crocker Park, including MINISO, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, LaserAway, and Body Alive.
