After concluding the 1,000-mile ride, Held left his bicycle secured outside the station before discovering it had been taken.
"I locked up my bike at the station but when I came back someone had taken it," said Held.
The incident left the visitor feeling shocked given the successful completion of his tour.
"I felt really embarrassed, I didn't know if I had just been naive," said Held.
He urged anyone with information regarding the missing bicycle to contact local authorities.
"If anyone sees my bike I hope they will report it to the police," said Held.
Similar long-distance rides in Britain have suffered abrupt endings due to theft.
In 2022, adventure cyclist Luke Skeats had his partner's bike stolen outside a Wetherspoons pub in Reading while midway through a tour on King Alfred's Way.
"I was actually taking my girlfriend on her first bike tour around the UK ahead of a planned trip across South America this winter," said Skeats.
