A new report released on July 29, 2026, by the J7 Large Communities' Task Force Against Antisemitism reveals that 2025 was the deadliest year for Diaspora Jews in over three decades.
The task force recorded 20 deaths and more than 23,000 antisemitic incidents across seven nations.

These countries—Argentina, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States—are home to over 90 percent of the world's Jewish population outside Israel.
Overall antisemitic incidents across these seven countries have surged by 136 percent since 2022, while violent attacks rose by 97 percent during the same period.
The J7 task force warned that anti-Jewish hostility has shifted from temporary spikes to an ongoing crisis across major Western countries.
"Antisemitism in our seven countries is no longer a surge; it is our new normal," the J7 Large Communities Task Force Against Antisemitism said in a joint statement.
"Governments must stop reacting after Jews are attacked and start acting before, with real security funding, stronger laws and social media platforms that enforce their own rules."
Anti-Defamation League leadership emphasized that international coordination is essential to address the elevated levels of hatred that persist worldwide.
"No country can fight antisemitism alone, and this report shows exactly why," said Anti-Defamation League CEO and National Director Jonathan Greenblatt.
"This isn't just an American crisis; every single J7 country remains dramatically above pre-October 7 levels. Antisemitism transcends borders, and our response must do so too."
