Global ticketing giant Ticketmaster has replaced local provider Select-A-Seat to handle ticketing operations for major entertainment venues across Wichita, Kansas, venue officials announced on July 28, 2026.
Under the new arrangement, event tickets put on sale since July 1 are being processed through Ticketmaster.

However, tickets listed on Select-A-Seat prior to July 1 will continue to be sold through the legacy platform.
The affected venues include Intrust Bank Arena, the Orpheum Theatre, Century II, and Capitol Federal Amphitheater.
Management company Legends Global selected the provider following an evaluation of primary ticketing services, according to venue officials.
Fans can now buy tickets online or at the Intrust Bank Arena box office.

Background of the Change
Sedgwick County originally launched Select-A-Seat in 1990 for venues like the Kansas Coliseum. Management was transferred to private operators in 2010 when Intrust Bank Arena opened.
Legends Global acquired previous operator ASM Global in 2024 to manage the facility network owned by the county.
Founded in 1976, Ticketmaster merged with promoter Live Nation in 2010.

The company continues to face regulatory scrutiny following an April federal jury verdict that found Live Nation and Ticketmaster liable for operating an illegal monopoly.
