Nepal has dropped one place to 18th in the latest ICC Men's ODI Team Rankings, released on July 28, 2026.
The decline follows three consecutive defeats in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series held in Utrecht, Netherlands.

The team entered the series ranked 17th but lost rating points after back-to-back losses to Namibia and the Netherlands.
Namibia moved up to 17th place with 527 points and a rating of 28 from 19 matches, while Nepal now sits at 18th with 795 points from 30 ODIs and a rating of 27.
In their most recent match on July 27, Nepal suffered a narrow three-run defeat against Namibia.
Despite pacer Karan KC taking a career-best 5/29 and becoming the first Nepal bowler to reach 100 ODI wickets, the team could not secure a win.

Earlier in the series, Nepal was bowled out for 157 in consecutive losses to both opponents.
Looking to break the losing streak, Nepal opted to field first after winning the toss against the Netherlands in the 120th match of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2.
However, the winless run has pushed Nepal outside the top four in the points table, with limited remaining fixtures in the cycle.
Nepal had reached a peak ranking of 14th in the ICC ODI rankings in 2023.

Since then, the team fluctuated between 15th and 17th positions before the recent decline in Utrecht.
