Vivek Oberoi has revealed that he did not accept any payment for his role as Vidyutjihva in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming film adaptation of the Ramayana.
Instead, the actor directed his entire remuneration toward supporting children with cancer.

In the film's official trailer, Oberoi appears nearly unrecognizable beneath heavy armor, elaborate headgear, and a full beard.
He plays Vidyutjihva, the husband of Shurpanakha, whose character faces off against Ravana, portrayed by actor Yash.
Personal Decision to Support a Cause
Oberoi explained that he told producer Namit Malhotra, "I don't want a penny for this."
He added, "I want to donate it to any sort of cause that I believe in, which is kids with cancer."
The actor elaborated on his motivation to join the grand-scale project alongside co-stars Rakul Preet Singh and Yash.
"I told him I want to support you because I just love what you're doing and I think that this will take Indian cinema on the global stage with a bang," Oberoi said.

Regarding the historical significance of the epic, Oberoi noted the team's perspective. "There is always the battle between whether Ramayana is mythological or historical.
We believe it is historical, and it was great working on it," he stated.
Oberoi also expressed his positive experience on set with director Nitesh Tiwari and the crew.
"I was so happy and it was a lot of fun working with the whole crew, Namit, Nitesh, Yash and Rakul," he said.
The actor confirmed that his participation in filming is nearing completion, with only a couple of days of shoot left.
The film features a star-studded cast including Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman.
