Dutch television analyst Johan Derksen has confirmed he will never appear as a guest on the talk show De Oranjezomer.
He stated this on his podcast Groeten uit Grolloo.

Derksen cited fundamental objections to the program's use of Dutch folk singers to open daily broadcasts.
He said he refuses to be part of a show that features an ordinary folk artist at the start.
Although host Hélène Hendriks frequently appears on Derksen's program Vandaag Inside, Derksen will not reciprocate. He called himself principled on the matter.
“I will never sit with Hélène.
I am so principled: I refuse to be on a program where the opening is done by an ordinary folk artist,” Derksen said.
“I don't want to be part of that.”
Vandaag Inside previously had live music from house band The Clarks starting in 2018, but has since stopped regular musical acts.
Derksen noted he can barely tolerate Gerard Joling, who brings energy as a guest.
“At Vandaag Inside I can barely tolerate Gerard Joling. He brings some energy to the show.

That is an excellent guest. Gerard is an ideal guest.
You have to grant him that song,” Derksen said.
Host Wilfred Genee occasionally sings on their show, which Derksen accepts as a hobby. But he draws the line at Dutch folk singers.
“If Dutch folk singers come, I'm gone,” he said.
Despite refusing to participate, Derksen praised De Oranjezomer and host Hélène Hendriks. He described the show as feel-good television that is easy to watch.
“Hélène makes feel-good TV. It doesn't have to be sharp-edged and people don't have to be pushed to the limit.
It should be easy to watch. That is the goal and she succeeds in that,” Derksen said.
Derksen expressed strong professional and personal respect for Hendriks, who has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Genee at Vandaag Inside when contracts expire.
