The Los Angeles Police Department chased and arrested a suspect driving a stolen white Mercedes after a pursuit that lasted over an hour earlier this week.
But it was a group of motorcyclists who stole the show.

A KTLA 5 media helicopter captured footage of the chase, including the moment the Mercedes GLC driver encountered at least eight dirt bike riders on the 110 Freeway.
The motorcyclists, none wearing helmets, were seen pulling wheelies next to the speeding SUV, seemingly unaware it was being chased by a police cruiser just feet behind.
At one point, a rider on a lime green dirt bike performed a wheelie directly in front of the GLC.
The driver then pulled onto the shoulder to squeeze through the group.
None of the bikers were hit or injured, but the situation could have quickly turned dangerous.

The pursuit began just after 5:15 p. m.

Tuesday in the North Hollywood area. Police quickly determined the GLC was stolen and that the driver may have been armed.
The driver initially sped through the San Fernando Valley, then got onto the 101 and 405 Freeways, hitting speeds exceeding 100 mph (160 km/h).
After passing the motorcyclists, the driver encountered heavy traffic on the 110 Freeway.
Footage shows the driver aggressively swerving between cars and driving along the shoulder, with at least two LAPD Ford Explorers in pursuit and a police helicopter tracking from above.
The driver eventually exited the freeway into downtown Los Angeles and pulled into a parking garage.
While out of sight from the media and police helicopters, ground units continued the chase.

One suspect was quickly taken into custody, but according to KTLA 5, another managed to flee the scene.
