Boca Juniors have booked their spot in the Copa Sudamericana Round of 16 after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Chile's O'Higgins in Rancagua.

The second leg ended 1-0 in favor of O'Higgins, leveling the aggregate score at 1-1 after Boca's 1-0 win in Buenos Aires.

The tie was decided from the spot, with Boca prevailing 4-2.

Boca gradually took control, with attacks mainly coming down the flanks through Tomás Aranda and Sebastián Villa, supporting striker Miguel Merentiel.
