Billionaire Nelson Peltz and his wife Claudia are facing a second lawsuit in Palm Beach, Florida, after their rescue dog allegedly attacked an employee.

According to court documents filed on July 10, 2025, Joy Ransom claims the pit bull, named Houdini, was loose and unrestrained on the grounds when the sudden attack occurred on December 23, 2025.

Ransom is seeking more than $50,000 in damages for hospital bills, physical pain, and mental anguish.

Allegations of Negligence

The lawsuit alleges that the family failed to confine or behavior-train the dog despite knowing its dangerous tendencies.

Court filings state that the animal was originally gifted to the parents by their daughter, actress Nicola Peltz Beckham, who was allegedly present during the incident.

This case marks the second legal claim involving the pet.

A former housekeeper previously sued the couple over a December 16, 2024, incident where Houdini reportedly lunged at her, causing a fall that led to injuries.

That previous matter was resolved through a confidential settlement.

The Peltz family and their representatives have not issued any public statements or comments regarding the active lawsuit.
