AZ Alkmaar has rejected a second transfer bid from Belgian champions Club Brugge for midfielder Peer Koopmeiners.
The offer, worth approximately 13 million euros, was turned down on July 31, 2026.

The Dutch club remains unwilling to sell the 26-year-old under current conditions.
Club Brugge had earlier submitted an opening bid of 9 million euros plus 2 million euros in bonuses, which AZ also swiftly declined.
Despite the increased proposal, AZ refused to negotiate further, maintaining a firm stance on keeping their key midfielder.
Reports indicate that AZ expects a transfer fee close to 17 million euros before considering any deal.
AZ's Strong Position
The club uses the recent 13 million euro sale of Sven Mijnans to PSV as a benchmark for core players.

With Koopmeiners under contract until mid-2028, AZ holds strong leverage and faces no financial pressure to sell.
Koopmeiners, a product of AZ's youth academy, has completed loan spells at Excelsior and Almere City.
He has recorded six goals and 11 assists in 117 appearances for the club.
While the player is open to a move to play in the Champions League, he is leaving negotiations entirely to both clubs to preserve his relationship with AZ.
AZ technical director Niels van Duinen has previously stated a preference to extend Koopmeiners' contract rather than facilitate an exit.
