Feyenoord has responded to AS Roma's transfer proposal for Givairo Read with a counteroffer.
The Dutch club submitted its terms on Friday after rejecting the initial package from the Serie A side.

Roma had offered a deal worth up to 25 million euros for the 20-year-old right-back.
However, Feyenoord refused to accept that amount as a fixed fee, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Eredivisie champions instead outlined alternative payment installments, performance bonuses, and structural terms to complete the transfer.
Roma Emerges as Frontrunner
Negotiations between Feyenoord and Nottingham Forest stalled over several obstacles in recent days, positioning Roma as the leading contender for Read's signature.
A delegation from the Italian club is prepared to travel to Rotterdam to finalize the agreement.
Read has already spoken with manager Gian Piero Gasperini and agreed to a potential salary of four million euros per season.
In an interview with Voetbal International, Read shared his thoughts on the ongoing speculation.
"Of course I find it quite exciting," said Read. "But I cannot look into the future.
I do not know myself what is going to happen."
"In fact, I do not even think I know everything that is currently playing out, and that is deliberate.
My agents keep a lot away from me so that I can keep my head on football and focus fully on becoming top fit and getting into shape for the new season," he added.
