The Baltimore Orioles have traded starting pitcher Dean Kremer to the Minnesota Twins, acquiring 18-year-old outfield prospect Jhomnardo Reyes in return.
The deal was completed ahead of the Major League Baseball trade deadline on August 1, 2026.

Reyes, who signed with Minnesota from the Dominican Republic in January 2025 for a $322,500 signing bonus, has shown promise as a left-handed power hitter.

Kremer leaves Baltimore having recorded 6.1 bWAR across parts of seven seasons. He arrived via the Manny Machado trade eight years ago.
The 30-year-old right-hander registered a 6.50 ERA over seven starts this season while earning a $5.75 million salary prior to his final year of arbitration control.

Rotation Replacement
To fill Kremer's rotation spot, Baltimore is expected to rely on veteran right-hander Chris Bassitt, who has begun a minor league rehabilitation assignment following back surgery.
