Los Angeles County authorities served an investigative warrant at actress Linda Blair's Southern California home on Friday, July 31, 2026.
The search uncovered 200 canines on a 2.5-acre property that is permitted for only 60 dogs.

Around 70 law enforcement and county officials took part in the 6 a. m.
operation.
They included representatives from the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC) and the Department of Regional Planning.
The inspection aimed to evaluate structural safety, animal welfare, and code compliance linked to a reported illegal kennel operation.
According to DACC, Blair's kennel facility permits expired in 2023, and repeated attempts to reach the property owner had gone unanswered.
Officials stressed that this was an investigative search, not a criminal raid. No animals were removed during the inspection.
Officials Cite Safety and Compliance Concerns
"The goal is to inspect this property for buildings and structures associated with a kennel operation reported to have more than 100 dogs," DACC said.
Multi-agency staff evaluated electrical panels, general safety conditions, and the health of the housed canines.
"The warrant allows us to lawfully access the property and verify compliance with County codes," the department added.
DACC emphasized that its main priority was the safety and well-being of both animals and people on the property.
Investigators plan to review all gathered evidence before deciding whether to issue formal citations.
"As this is an active and ongoing investigation, DACC is not able to answer specific questions about this case at this time," the department stated.
