Lisa Peplow has reached a significant milestone by completing 250 parkrun events. Of these, 192 were held at Brimbank Park.
Her first parkrun was at Brimbank Park in 2019. She almost cried upon seeing the hill but was motivated to continue after receiving her timing results.

Lisa has also run parkruns internationally, including events in Italy, Canada, and the United States. This showcases the global nature of the parkrun community.
A Supportive Community
Lisa described the parkrun community as very supportive and encouraging.
"It is so great to see runners and walkers of all shapes, sizes and abilities out on a Saturday morning just trying to be the best version of themselves," she said.
She noted the growing participation of young people in these events.
Lisa's running journey began after a knee injury ended her netball career.
Her surgeon suggested running to stay active, which initially seemed unlikely to her until she tried parkrun.
"I did my first parkrun in 2019 with a friend from the gym who suggested I should learn to run 5 kms.

Brimbank was also my first parkrun and I almost cried when I saw the hill.
As I was running, I thought to myself, 'I am never doing this again', until I received my email with my time and thought 'I can do better next week' and I have kept coming back ever since," Lisa said.
Through parkrun, Lisa found a social network and joined the Keilor Running Club, where she met her fiancé.
Parkrun also marked the start of her marathon career. She has completed nine marathons, including the London, Sydney, and Chicago majors, with Berlin scheduled for September.
"My surgeon suggested I could take up running if I wanted to stay active but I thought that idea was ridiculous until I did my first parkrun," she added.
Lisa encourages others hesitant about running to simply join parkrun without worry.
