Kahleah Copper scored 27 points to lead the Phoenix Mercury to a 91-89 comeback victory over the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday night in Phoenix.
The Mercury overcame a 13-point deficit in both teams' return from the All-Star break.

Alyssa Thomas contributed 25 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists for Phoenix.
DeWanna Bonner added 17 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks.
The win marked the third consecutive victory for the Mercury, improving their record to 11-18 after a prior five-game losing streak.
The loss dropped Golden State to 19-9, their second straight defeat following a 90-82 home loss to Washington.
The defeat also pushed the Valkyries a half-game behind second-place Las Vegas in the standings.
Late in the game, Copper received her sixth foul with 1:45 remaining.
Phoenix challenged the call, but officials upheld the ruling after a video replay review.

Nine seconds after the challenge, Kayla Thornton hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 82.
Bonner then sank two free throws with 1:27 left, securing a lead Phoenix held for the rest of the contest.
Cecilia Zandalasini fouled out for Golden State after scoring 16 points on 6-of-17 shooting.
Veronica Burton finished with 15 points.
Kaila Charles recorded her second career double-double and first since 2021 with 10 points and a season-high 10 rebounds.
