RippleX has announced its intention to propose five amendments to validators next week for the upcoming xrpld 3.3.0 software release on the XRP Ledger.

The upgrade reintroduces revised features that were previously withdrawn due to security vulnerabilities, along with new protocol additions aimed at institutional digital asset transfers.

Background and Previous Upgrades

This scheduled release follows the successful activation of the compulsory 3.2.0 network upgrade, which secured 85.71 percent validator support.

That update introduced the fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment to resolve rounding issues in single-asset vaults and the native lending protocol.

It also strengthened validation protocols for permissioned decentralized exchanges and Multi-Purpose Tokens.

Key Amendments in xrpld 3.3.0

Among the five upcoming amendments are revised iterations of Batch and Permission Delegation.

The original Batch amendment, designed to execute up to eight cross-account transactions atomically, was rejected in February after security researchers identified a signature validation flaw.

Permission Delegation was similarly disabled in September 2025 after a bug allowed unauthorized account fee draining.

The update also introduces Confidential MPT, which uses zero-knowledge proofs and elliptic-curve encryption to keep token balances private for regulatory verification.

Sponsored Fees and Reserves and Dynamic MPT features are also part of the release.

Jazzi Cooper, head of product at RippleX, said that XRPL has already proven it can support tokenized assets at scale.

He added that the upcoming release includes five amendments that move XRPL significantly closer to enabling global transfers, trading, collateralizing, and settling.
