Toyota has updated the Harrier for the 2027 model year in Japan, trimming the lineup to a hybrid-only offering and adding a standard power outlet.
The Harrier, which shares its roots with the Venza that was discontinued in North America, continues to receive updates in its home market.

Powertrain Changes
Toyota has removed the entry-level 2.0-liter gasoline engine and the range-topping 2.5-liter plug-in hybrid from the Harrier's lineup.
The sole remaining option is the self-charging hybrid, which pairs a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with either a single motor for front-wheel drive or a dual-motor E-Four arrangement for all-wheel drive.
Output stands at 215 horsepower for the front-wheel-drive version and 219 horsepower for the E-Four model.
New Standard Equipment
A 100-volt, 1,500-watt AC accessory outlet is now standard, along with an emergency power supply system and an external power attachment in the luggage compartment.
However, this equipment cannot be combined with the optional spare tire due to space constraints.

Styling Updates
The exterior and interior design remain largely unchanged, but Toyota has added more black accents to the Z Night Shade and Z Leather Package trims.
These include jet black chrome garnish on the bumpers, a glossy black grille, black chrome exhaust pipes, and black wheel nuts, window frames, and mirror caps.
The LED taillights now feature dark internal extensions, and door handles are body-colored.
Pricing and Availability
The revised 2027 Harrier is already on sale in Japan, with prices starting at ¥4,396,700 ($28,100) for the HEV G 2WD.
The top-of-the-line Z Leather Package Night Shade E-Four is priced at ¥5,561,600 ($35,600).

This update comes amid reports of a fifth-generation Harrier that could arrive next year, possibly returning to North America as the Venza.
