Dongfeng Nissan has released the first teaser of its upcoming NX7 SUV, a new electrified model that will expand the brand's new energy vehicle lineup in China.

The NX7 will join the larger NX8, adopting a slightly evolved styling language and the latest tech features.

Design and Features

The teaser focuses on the front end, highlighting a new style of split LED headlights flanking a grille-less nose with the illuminated Nissan emblem.

Unlike the NX8's full-width LED bar, the NX7 features upper daytime running lights and simpler lower units.

The SUV also sports a roof-mounted LiDAR and mirror-mounted sensors, hinting at sophisticated advanced driver-assistance systems.

A sculpted hood and sleek roof rails complete the exterior look.

Size and Platform

In terms of dimensions, the NX7 could fall between the 183-inch Rogue/X-Trail and the 191.7-inch NX8.

It will likely ride on Dongfeng-Nissan's local Tianyan NEV architecture, which already underpins the N6 and N7 sedans and the NX8 SUV.

The NX8 is available with electric and range-extender powertrains, featuring a front-wheel-drive layout and CATL-sourced lithium-iron phosphate batteries.

Pricing and Availability

Dongfeng Nissan has not set a debut date but says the NX7 is "coming soon."

Pricing details remain under wraps, but it will sit below the NX8, which starts at ¥149,900 ($22,200).
