Emory Motorsports, known for its Porsche 356 restomods, has unveiled a 1956 Cabriolet that blends classic looks with modern performance.
The car is set to cross the auction block later this week.

Weighing just 1,975 lbs (896 kg), this 'Outlaw' 356 is nearly 400 pounds lighter than a new Mazda MX-5.
Its lightweight build is complemented by a powerful new engine.
A Modern Heart in a Classic Body
Under the rear deck sits a 2.6-liter flat-four developed with Rothsport.
It features individual throttle bodies, fuel injection, a full-flow oil system, custom stainless steel headers, and a sport muffler.
Despite its small displacement, the engine produces 260 horsepower without forced induction. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.

The car also benefits from independent rear suspension, adjustable dampers, front and rear sway bars, and disc brakes at all four corners—none of which were available on the original 356.
Originally a Coupe, Emory converted it into a Cabriolet with a removable hardtop in 2024.
The exterior is finished in Tropical Green Metallic, and it rides on 16-inch billet wheels with a satin black finish.
Broad Arrow Auctions expects the car to sell for between $550,000 and $700,000.

The low mileage—just 416 miles (670 km) since the rebuild—likely influences the estimate.
