Gunther Werks has returned to Monterey Car Week with a new creation, the GXR-Evo. It is the fastest naturally aspirated machine the company has ever built.
Unlike last year's twin-turbo Project F-26 with 1,000 hp, the GXR-Evo focuses on analog driving thrills. Production is capped at just 15 units globally.

Power comes from a 4.0-liter flat-six co-developed with Rothsport Racing. It produces 455 hp and revs to nearly 9,000 rpm.
The engine is paired with a re-engineered Getrag G50 six-speed manual transmission. Drive goes to the rear wheels.
Lightweight Construction
A full carbon fiber body keeps the dry weight at just 2,386 lbs (1,082 kg).
That makes it significantly lighter than a new 911 GT3 or GT3 RS.
The interior is stripped out for weight savings. It features Racetech carbon-kevlar seats, six-point Schroth harnesses, and an eight-point roll cage.

Other equipment includes a configurable Motec digital display, a digital rearview mirror, a fire-suppression system, and a driver helmet cooling system.
The exterior design is striking, with a wide grille, large splitter, canards, and fender vents.
At the rear, a towering fixed wing and shark fin replace the rear window.

Each owner will receive a custom MYSIM racing simulator made of aluminum and carbon fiber, using the same steering wheel as the GXR-Evo.
