Hyundai has opened European orders for the new Staria Electric, an all-electric nine-seat van that undercuts the VW ID.

The Staria Electric packs an 84 kWh battery and delivers up to 430 km of WLTP range. In Germany, it starts at €57,450 ($66,800).

At 5,253 mm long, the Staria Electric is larger than the VW ID. Buzz and many rivals, including the Ford E-Tourneo Custom and Mercedes-Benz VLE.
It offers more room for passengers and luggage, with cargo capacity of 1,303 liters behind the third row in the nine-seat configuration.
A 24-liter frunk stores charging cables, and the van can tow up to 2,000 kg.
Three Trim Levels
European buyers can choose from Trend, Prime, and Calligraphy trims. The base Trend includes LED headlights, dual 12.3-inch displays, and heated front seats.
The Prime adds leather upholstery, ventilated seats, and electric sliding doors, while the Calligraphy features a seven-seat layout with luxury amenities.
The Calligraphy also gets a Bose sound system, 360-degree camera, and Nappa leather.
Pricing and Charging
In Germany, the Staria Electric is priced from €57,450 for the Trend, €63,650 for the Prime, and €66,950 for the Calligraphy.

Buzz Pro with long wheelbase and 86 kWh battery starts at €57,887, making the Hyundai slightly more affordable.
Thanks to 800-volt architecture, the Staria Electric can charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 20 minutes on a DC fast charger.
