The Arizona Diamondbacks edged the Colorado Rockies 2-1 on a walk-off single by Corbin Carroll in the series opener at Phoenix on May 22, 2026.

Colorado starter Zach Agnos delivered five scoreless innings in his first start since high school, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out four.

Arizona's Eduardo Rodriguez matched him with seven strong innings, giving up four hits and striking out four.

The game remained scoreless until the sixth inning.

Against reliever Blas Castaño, Carroll grounded into a force out that brought Ryan Waldschmidt home, giving Arizona a 1-0 lead.

Colorado tied the game in the eighth.
