Dutch Formula One commentators Olav Mol and Jack Plooij are launching a new live pre-race program on the streaming platform KIJK, starting on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the Monaco Grand Prix.

The half-hour show titled 'GP Voorbeschouwing met Olav en Jack' will air from the Grand Prix Radio studio, concluding 15 minutes before the race begins.

The program offers free race previews, paddock updates, and strategic insights without requiring a subscription. This presents direct competition to Viaplay's broadcasting services.

Mol will continue providing live race commentary through Grand Prix Radio, which secured F1 radio rights for the next three years.

This arrangement follows a collaborative agreement with Viaplay, the company currently holding the primary live television broadcasting rights in the Netherlands alongside F1 TV Pro.

Viaplay representative William Linders stated that the multi-year radio rights agreement stabilizes the market and offers fans maximum choice.

Grand Prix Radio executive Gerard Timmer noted that the three-year contract allows further investment in quality and innovation.

The collaborative market approach comes amid leadership updates in the championship standings following the Canadian Grand Prix, where Kimi Antonelli secured his fourth consecutive victory.

Antonelli leads the championship standings ahead of George Russell and Charles Leclerc, while Max Verstappen currently holds seventh place.

"Deze samenwerking versterkt onze gezamenlijke positie en biedt Formule 1-liefhebbers maximale keuzevrijheid in hoe zij de sport willen volgen," said William Linders.

The upcoming Monaco Grand Prix weekend takes place on narrow city streets where qualifying holds critical importance for the final grid placement.

Verstappen has publicly addressed technical challenges regarding the RB22 chassis handling track bumps ahead of the street circuit event.

Other developments for the weekend include McLaren introducing a special anniversary livery to mark their 1,000th Grand Prix appearance.

Meanwhile, the FIA is reportedly preparing future technical regulations to prohibit specific aerodynamic systems currently utilized by rival teams.

In other motorsport events, a multi-car collision occurred during the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup race at Monza.

Driver Maxime Martin denied responsibility for the incident despite officials naming him as the primary cause.

"Heb wel een paar ideeën," said Max Verstappen.

The scheduled track activities for the Monaco Grand Prix conclude on Sunday with the main race starting at 15:00 Dutch time.
