The Atlanta Hawks have added depth to their backcourt by acquiring guard Aaron Wiggins from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The deal, finalized on Sunday, sends two future second-round draft picks to Oklahoma City.
Atlanta will give up its 2030 second-round pick and the less favorable selection between the Hawks' or the Los Angeles Lakers' 2032 second-round pick.
Wiggins, 27, arrives after five seasons with the Thunder.
Wiggins' Role and Contract
Despite a crowded roster in Oklahoma City, Wiggins carved out a reliable role as a two-way perimeter player.
In the 2025-26 season, he averaged 10.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists while shooting around 38% from three-point range for his career.
Wiggins is under a team-friendly contract, having signed a five-year, $45 million extension before the 2024-25 season. Just over $17 million remains guaranteed over the next two years.
The trade helps the Thunder manage a roster crunch, as ESPN previously reported that Oklahoma City viewed Wiggins as a trade candidate to balance its surplus of young talent and draft assets.
