The equalizer came from a penalty after Abdukodir Khusanov fouled Yoane Wissa in the box. Wissa converted, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.
Two minutes later, Meschack Elia's deflected shot allowed Fiston Mayele to flick the ball into the net, giving DR Congo the lead.
Wissa sealed the victory in stoppage time with a curling strike from the edge of the box, his third goal of the tournament.
The win highlights a strong tournament for African teams, with nine out of ten nations advancing to the knockout rounds.
