Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton secured pole position for the British Grand Prix sprint race after topping the final qualifying segment at Silverstone on Friday.
The seven-time world champion excelled on soft tires during SQ3 to edge out Kimi Antonelli, who will start second on the front row.
Max Verstappen completed the top three positions following a strong final lap, showing recovery after Red Bull struggled with pace in earlier practice sessions.
Qualifying Highlights
The opening segment saw immediate eliminations for both Aston Martin and Cadillac cars, alongside a double exit for Haas drivers as the team continues to slip down the midfield order.
The second session eliminated drivers from Alpine, Audi, and Williams, while Hamilton consistently delivered strong lap times on medium compound tires before switching to softs for the shootout.
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc finished just behind Verstappen in fourth place, followed by George Russell in fifth and the McLaren duo of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in sixth and seventh.
Isack Hadjar completed the top eight positions after failing to put together his optimal lap during the final segment.
The upcoming track action will proceed with the scheduled sprint race as teams prepare for the full grand prix distance later in the weekend.
