A Portland teenager discovered an original Wilt Chamberlain warm-up jacket from the 1972-73 NBA season at a Hillsboro Goodwill outlet store.
The rare sports artifact was purchased for just over $3, according to KOIN on July 2, 2026.

The vintage Los Angeles Lakers apparel was worn during the final season of the Hall of Famer's basketball career.
It has now been listed for auction through Sotheby's.
Industry experts estimate the historic item could fetch up to $250,000. The finder, Quinn Brown, said the extreme dimensions of the garment immediately signaled its potential significance.

"The key moment for me was I was in my room and I looked at the measurements of the jacket.
Wilt Chamberlain being 7-foot-1, the jacket measured 33 inches long, so it would have gone down almost to my knees," Brown said.
"I looked it up and it matched the jersey that I saw on eBay, matched up perfectly with mine."

The competitive online bidding process for the legendary piece of professional basketball history is scheduled to remain open through July 20.
