Feyenoord is finalizing an agreement to extend and improve the contract of midfielder Oussama Targhalline, according to reports from supporters' website FR12.
The Dutch club aims to reward the 24-year-old Moroccan's rapid development and deter transfer interest from foreign clubs.
Improved Deal for Key Midfielder
Targhalline's current contract runs until June 2028.
The proposed extension would upgrade his terms, reflecting his rise as a key player under former manager Robin van Persie and current boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Feyenoord signed Targhalline from French side Le Havre AC in February 2025 for a reported €450,000.
His market value has since soared, with Transfermarkt valuing him at €16 million and FootballTransfers reporting a record Estimated Transfer Value of €10.4 million.
The Moroccan international has made 39 official appearances for Feyenoord, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
Last season, he played 33 times across all competitions despite missing matches due to injury and participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Interest from Ligue 1 Clubs
Targhalline's consistent performances have attracted attention from top Ligue 1 clubs, including AS Monaco, Olympique Lyon, and RC Lens.
However, he remains focused on Feyenoord, especially after the club secured a spot in the upcoming Champions League.
New manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst is reportedly impressed with the midfielder.
Targhalline played one half in a recent 6-0 friendly win against FC Dordrecht, recording an assist for Calvin Stengs and providing the pre-assist for Gonçalo Borges.
